Combined Laboratory & Cryogenic Gases

Our Combined Laboratory & Cryogenic Gases Safety Awareness Workshop is an instructor-led training session for up to 20 delegates. It provides all the essential safety awareness information that users of compressed gases and cryogenic liquids in a laboratory or other similar environment require.

It can be extended to include information on piped systems if required.

The workshop is designed for:

  • Anyone using, handling or storing cylinder gases and cryogenic liquids in a laboratory environment
  • Laboratory and other Managers with operational responsibilites for safety
  • Managers, Supervisors and staff from all functions who are responsible for the safe use of gases

  • Recognise the need for ventilation and atmospheric monitoring
  • Identify flammability hazards
  • Select the correct gas control equipment
  • Recognise the hazards of using incorrect manual handling techniques
  • Manage the safe storage of gas cylinders and cryogenic vessels in accordance with the relevant Guidance Notes
  • Introduce safe working practices into your workplace

A maximum of 20 delegates may attend. Certificates of attendance and delegate workbooks will be issued.

The workshop can be run in isolation, or it can form the foundation for one, or both, of its related practical workshops; Connecting Regulators & Cylinder Set-up and Liquid Nitrogen Decanting.

Please note that if any of your gases are distributed via a piped system we will extend the training workshop to provide information relating to these.
