Compressed Gases Safety Awareness for Local Authority Inspectors

Our Compressed Gases Safety Awareness for Local Authority Inspectors Workshop is an instructor-led training session for up to 20 delegates. It has been designed specifically for Local Aurhority Inspectors (LAI's) and Environmental Health Officers (EHO's) who visit establishments where compressed gases are used, handled and stored.

The training provides essential gas cylinder information to enable inspectors to review workplace compliane in line with relevant Legislation, Codes of Practice, Guidance Notes and best operating practice.

The half-day (approximately 3½ hour) workshop is designed for:

  • Local Authority Inspectors
  • Environmental Health Officers
  • Managers and Supervisors who are responsible for LAI's and EHO's

What You Will Learn

The workshop will enable participants to:

  • State the hazards posed by oxygen enrichment
  • Recognise the hazards associated with inert gases and oxygen depletion
  • Identify asphyxia hazards in cellars and plant rooms
  • Be aware of the hazards posed by fuel gases
  • Ask questions concerning the safe use of liquid nitrogen in kitchens
  • Recall the hazards posed by pressure
  • Recognise the need for correct personal protective equipment
  • Appreciate the need for the correct gas control equipment
  • Be aware of the maintenance inspection requirements for gas control equipment
  • Review piped system maintenance
  • Re-assess clients training records

Workshop Price

The workshop is priced at £980 for up to 8 delegates, additional delegates at £95 per head. VAT is payable at the standard rate.

A maximum of 20 delegates may attend. Certificates of attendance and delegate workbooks will be issued.
