IOSH Medical Safety Group

MD Terry Broughton, is regularly invited to address Regional Safety Groups. These presentations are usually focused around the safe use of industrial gases.

He was recently invited to address the Medical Safety Group that meets as part of the IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) North West Branch.

The group was founded by safety officers working within the NHS when Crown Immunity was lifted in order to share ‘Best Operating Practices’ amongst Trusts as well as providing a ‘self help’ forum for safety professionals working within the Healthcare sector.

The group has delegates travelling from all over the North of England and it’s meetings are very well subscribed.

Terry’s presentation focused upon ‘Pressure Points’ regarding the safe handling, storage, transportation and use of both medical and cryogenic gases within a hospital environment.

The presentation was designed to run for just over an hour but actually lasted for nearly two hours due to the number of questions asked and the inter-group discussions that were generated by the content of the talk.
